In the same year, Tong Mao, a classmate of Penn University and a colleague of Dongda University in exile in Shanghai, was invited to join, and was renamed Gaihua Architects' Office on 1932. Three young architects, Chen Zhi, Zhao Shen and Tong Mao, gathered together to add strength to the fire. They have successively designed many architectural masterpieces such as the Foreign Ministry Building of Nanjing National Government, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Jincheng Theatre, Nanjing Zhongshan Culture and Education Museum, Zhejiang Industrial Bank, etc., which have been affirmed and praised by colleagues at home and abroad.

After liberation, Chen Zhi served as deputy director and chief architect of Shanghai Planning and Construction Administration, president and chief architect of Shanghai Civil Architecture Design Institute for a long time, and also served as the director of the Department of Architecture of Zhijiang University (1952). The School of Engineering of Zhijiang University was merged into Zhejiang University except the Department of Aeronautical Engineering. It can be said that Chen Zhi, the son of Chen Handi, is also an alumnus of Zhejiang University. During this period, in addition to management and education, he also personally presided over the design of the living quarters of Jinshan Chemical General Factory, the Friendship Pavilion of the Democratic Republic of Sudan, the Shanghai International Seamen's Club, and the Lu Xun Tomb of Shanghai Hongkou Park.

On March 20th, 2002, Chen Zhi, a century-old architect, died of illness.

Chen Handi was clever since he was a child, and he inherited his family studies. He has profound attainments in ancient poetry, calligraphy and painting, and is a versatile person.

He studied law and compiled General Theory of Law (published by Tianjin Bingwu Society in the 30th year of Guangxu) and General Theory of Commercial Law (published by Tianjin Bingwu Society in the 31st year of Guangxu). Although he has been in politics for a long time and has little time to splash ink, it has never affected his interest and has made great achievements in the collection of stone and stone. Living in Shanghai in his later years, he devoted himself to the artistic creation of calligraphy and painting and produced many excellent works.

Chen Handi is good at writing flowers and painting landscape figures. In his works, dead wood and bamboo stones are full of spirituality. He is especially fond of painting pine and bamboo, and his works include Korean pine, Komatsu, Jinsong and Luohansong. Zhu Zhu, Zhu Ju, Feng, etc. Not only meticulous pen and ink, but also full of statutes, vivid pictures and elegant style. 1936' s Bamboo in Yun Qi is as elegant and vivid as Lv Yun. His calligraphy is good at running script, and the combination of calligraphy and painting shows his skill.

1920 On May 29th, Jincheng, a painter studying law in Britain, gathered Chen Shiceng, Yan Tao, He Lu Zhi and Chen Handi, the most famous artists and collectors in Beijing and Tianjin at that time, and jointly founded the "Chinese Painting Research Association", which was the largest art society in northern painting circles at that time. The purpose of the workshop is to "study the ancient methods and gain new knowledge", observe (exhibit) regularly, recruit researchers (students) and hire painting critics (teachers), with the main content of cultivating Chinese painting talents. Chen Handi was the "early assessor" of the seminar, with more than a dozen assessors, including He, Xu and so on.

Chen Handi loves epigraphy, is good at seal cutting, and has a "Fulu Pu Yin" handed down from ancient times. He "especially likes to study ancient seals and has a rich collection of seals". He has six volumes of Fu Lu Zang Yin (later, 1940, according to Fu Lu Zang Yin, and the other is Fu Lu Xuan Zang Gao Yinhui Cun), and each page has a seal.

Chen Handi prefaces "Fu Lu Zang Yin". The preface says: He began to collect inscriptions around the age of twenty, but most of his collections were modern rubbings. It was not until the winter of 19 12 that he recognized Pei Zi one by one, and he realized his "insufficient view" of the old episodes. First of all, he collected the epitaphs of the Six Dynasties, Chinese in Qin Zhuan, giant tablets in the early Tang Dynasty and old rubbings in the Song and Ming Dynasties. But because "old rubbings are very rare", even if he saw fine products, most of them came from the same hobby. So the price was so high that he dared not ask. So I gradually lost interest and turned to collect Qin and Han seals. From 19 18 to 19 19, he got 200 buttons with seals, of which nine times out of ten he approved them. Nine times out of ten, it was decided after consultation with Pei Zi. Because it was printed in 19 19, it is called "Wiki Collection". By AD 1920, the first episode of Chen Han was compiled in five volumes, also known as Geng Shen Ji.

In May, 2006, Beijing Morning Post reported the "Twenty-two Donation Seals Exhibition" launched by Ren Jing Palace in the Forbidden City with the theme of "269 sets of exhibits on display in the Forbidden City". The article writes: "This exhibition is a precious seal donated by 22 patriotic social figures to the Palace Museum from 1945 to 199 1 year. Chen Handi ranked first, which shows his great contribution.

Chen Handi left Qiushi College on 1902 and never returned to National Zhejiang University. But his love affair with Zhejiang University is always related. 1947 During the 50th anniversary celebration of Zhejiang University, he wrote the article "The Founding Process of Qiushi Academy". In 2006, when sorting out a batch of ancient books, Zhejiang University Library found that many of them were stamped with seals such as "Chen Handi Seal", "Fulu" and "Fulu Old Man", which were obviously presented by Chen Handi to his alma mater, Zhejiang University. It is roughly estimated that there are about 1000 copies. Some of these books are precious books that the school library lacks. Among them, My Humble Opinion on the Leased Land and A Brief Introduction to the County Owners of Lanzhou Prefecture written by Emperor Chen Handi himself (the book is included in Other Biographies of Historical Figures in China) are very precious. It is impossible to find out when these books were given and who handled them. However, judging from the two seals of "National Zhejiang University Library Collection" and "Fulu Old Man" stamped at that time, they were given by Chen Han in his later years. It can be seen that Chen Handi has always cared about the school he personally participated in and worked hard for.

The book presented by Mr. Chen Handi is of great literary and historical value. Not only left a batch of precious ancient books for Zhejiang University, but also left a long history of Zhejiang University. It also left the founders and teachers of Qiushi College with a pure heart for their alma mater and a deep affection for the students of Zhejiang University.
