The hotline is set up by the Ministry of National Security to facilitate citizens and organizations to report espionage activities or clues to state security organs. You can call 12339 to report espionage. The telephone is for the whole country, and the reporting scope of telephone handling is consistent with that mentioned in the national anti-espionage law.

Once citizens and organizations find any behaviors or clues that endanger People's Republic of China (PRC)'s national security activities, such as stealing, spying, buying or illegally providing state secrets or information, or inciting, luring and buying the rebellion activities of state employees, they should immediately call the national unified espionage or clue reporting telephone number 12339.

There are three main ways for citizens to report espionage:

First, report by phone. Call the national security organ at 12339 to receive reports from citizens and organizations.

The second is to report online, log on to the website/,and report through the national security organ reporting acceptance platform12339.gov.

The third is to report on the spot and report the situation to the local state security organs.
