At present, the college has the right to award doctoral and master's degrees in the first-class discipline of education (including six doctoral authorization points: educational principles, curriculum and teaching theory, comparative education, preschool education, basic theory of meta-cultural education and teacher education theory and practice, educational principles, curriculum and teaching theory, educational history, comparative education, preschool education, higher education, vocational and technical education, special education, community education, development and educational psychology1 In addition, the college also launched a pilot program of "double degree" education in pedagogy.

There are 73 full-time teachers in the college, including 2 professors, 22 associate professors and 2 foreign teachers. Among them, 6 are doctoral supervisors. The college has nearly 1000 undergraduates and nearly 500 graduate students.

Pedagogy principle, curriculum and teaching theory are provincial key disciplines in Sichuan province, and pedagogy principle is also a key construction project of provincial key disciplines in Sichuan province. Multicultural pedagogy offered by the college is a national bilingual demonstration course. In addition, Principles of Education and Multicultural Pedagogy are provincial-level excellent courses in Sichuan Province. At the same time, the teaching laboratory of ethnic education is also a characteristic and advantageous subject laboratory of colleges and universities jointly established by the central and local governments.

In the past five years, the College has undertaken more than 30 national, ministerial (provincial) and above projects, and international cooperation projects 10. It has published more than 500 academic papers in educational research and other periodicals, and published more than 40 monographs in high-level publishing houses such as People's Publishing House, and won the "National Outstanding Achievement Award in Educational Science" and "National Outstanding Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities". In addition, the college pays attention to foreign exchanges and cooperation, and has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with universities in Britain, the United States, Canada, Norway, the Philippines and Hong Kong.
