Relevant institutions of higher learning and relevant units:

In order to further deepen the teaching reform of higher education, improve the quality of higher education, strengthen the macro-control of higher education by the administrative department of education, promote the scientific and democratic macro-decision-making of higher education, and give full play to the research and guiding role of experts and scholars in the teaching reform and construction of higher education, the Ministry of Education has decided to set up teaching steering committees for four disciplines (hereinafter referred to as teaching steering committees). From 2007 to 20 165438, relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

Iii. The Teaching Steering Committee (including sub-committees) is composed of 1 chairman, several vice-chairmen and 1 secretary-general. The work of the Teaching Steering Committee is presided over by the Chairman, assisted by the Vice-Chairman, and the Secretary-General assists the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman in their daily work. In principle, the Secretary-General is employed by the president's university.

Four, the main task of the teaching steering committee is:

(1) Organize theoretical and practical research in the teaching field of this discipline.

(2) to guide the discipline construction, teaching material construction and teaching reform in colleges and universities.

(3) Formulate professional norms or teaching quality standards.

(4) Accept the entrustment to undertake the task of professional evaluation.

(5) Accept the entrustment to undertake the evaluation task of undergraduate specialty setting.

(6) Organize teacher training, teaching discussion and information exchange.

(7) Complete other tasks entrusted by the Ministry of Education.

Five, all institutions of higher learning and relevant units should actively support the work of the teaching steering committee, and the schools and units where the members are located should give necessary support in terms of workload and activity funds.
