Explain the truth in simple language
Children need to understand why they do it or why they shouldn't. Instead of simple commands, it is better to patiently explain the truth behind it and help children develop their judgment.
Be firm and unambiguous.
When refusing a child's request, be clear and don't let the child feel that he has a chance. Avoid unprincipled compromises and let children understand that willfulness cannot succeed.
Establish clear discipline
Give children a clear code of conduct and let them understand the importance of rules. For example, when to sleep at night, the intake of snacks and so on. Let the children know where the boundaries are.
Correct wayward behavior
When children are willful, stop them in time and guide them to correct them. For example, through dinner time to correct children's partial eclipse habits, let children understand that parents' care and restraint are for their own good.
Moderate punishment does not hurt self-esteem.
Appropriate punishment is necessary when children don't listen to advice. However, we should pay attention to the way and degree of punishment to avoid hurting children's self-esteem and health.
