Hubei Experimental Kindergarten is the first public kindergarten (Hubei Kindergarten) in China, which was founded in 1903 and was originally located in Wuchang cavalry training ground. From 1902, under the planning of Zhang Zhidong, the Academic Affairs Office organized and implemented a large-scale educational innovation in Hubei Province. It is from this point that the old feudal traditional education system in Wuhan began to disintegrate completely, and a new regional academic system with modern capitalist color gradually formed. 1in the autumn of 903, Duan Fang, the governor of Hubei and the governor of Huguang, ordered the allocation of official funds to set up a kindergarten in Wuchang cavalry training ground, the provincial capital, which was the first kindergarten in Hubei and even the whole country, and set a precedent for early childhood education in China. The kindergarten hired three Japanese nannies and enrolled 80 girls aged 5-6 for the first time, with a graduation period of one year. Follow-up recruitment of 4-year-old children, plans to graduate in 2 years.
Kindergarten takes the form of classes to carry out educational protection activities, and the articles of association clearly stipulate that it is the initial stage of the new education system. The content of running a school focuses on improving children's natural intelligence, enlightening children, cultivating moral students and preparing for the foundation of primary schools. Because the atmosphere was not open at that time, most official families in Wuhan were reluctant to send their children to the park, and most of them were children from poor families. The development of preschool education in Wuhan is quite limited.
After the founding of New China, 195 1 resumed its operation and named it "Kindergarten Attached to Wuchang Experimental Kindergarten". 1995 moved to Meiyuan Community in Wuchang, and changed its name to "Hubei Experimental Kindergarten". She is a kindergarten affiliated to Hubei Preschool Normal School and under the jurisdiction of Hubei Provincial Department of Education.
