Guangzhou Peiying Middle School is located in Baihe Cave, Fangcun Village, Liwan District, Guangzhou. Founded by Dr. Dr. Henry V. Noyes of the United States in 1879, it was renamed Guangzhou No.8 Middle School after being taken over by Guangzhou Municipal People's Government in 1953, and the name of "Guangzhou Peiying Middle School" was restored with the approval of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government in 1984. 1992 was listed in the book "China Famous Schools" compiled by the State Education Commission, 1993 was rated as the first batch of first-class schools in Guangdong Province by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, and 1998 was rated as the first batch of modern educational technology experimental schools in Guangdong Province by the Provincial Department of Education. In 2007, it passed the evaluation of the first batch of national demonstration high schools in Guangdong Province and the first batch of schools with excellent teaching level in ordinary high schools in Guangdong Province. The scale of running a school is constantly expanding. In 2002, it developed into "one school and two districts" (Hedong headquarters and Taihe campus), and Guangzhou Peiying Education Group was established, moving towards the development of education collectivization.

The campus covers an area of 227 mu (including headquarters 122 mu and Taihe Campus 105 mu), and there are 82 teaching classes in senior middle school (including 60 teaching classes in headquarters and 22 teaching classes in Taihe Campus) with 4223 students. It is a boarding school, which can provide 1500 places for freshmen in senior high school in 2008.

As early as 2002, Hedong School Headquarters expanded its enrollment from 10 class (500 students) in 2006 to 20 classes (about 1000 students), which achieved a leap in enrollment. This year is the seventh consecutive year that our school has enrolled 20 classes in Grade One (1080 students).
