It finally came in! After a hearty meal, I was satisfied, but when it was about to leave, I couldn't get out again. Helpless, it had to do the same thing again, not eating or drinking for three days and three nights.
When the results came out, its stomach was the same as when it came.
Isn't life like this? Born naked, and finally died suddenly, no one can take away his hard-earned wealth and reputation all his life.
36,500 days in a hundred years.
In fact, it's just a flick of the finger.
Since the16th century, the scientific and technological revolution in the west has generally weakened religious belief, and religion has lost its power to kill people for thousands of years. On the contrary, science has become a new authority that controls everything. The main direction of human understanding has turned to the precise scientific method of observing, analyzing, comparing, inducing and sorting out perceptual materials, studying the universe from the material aspect, trying to conquer nature and increase material wealth. To this end, human social activities are all aimed at material interests. In order to compete for limited resources, people, nations and countries shrink into their own circles with their own interests as the center, and they can't tolerate each other. The world is full of bloody breath.
However, we have to admit that for hundreds of years, human beings armed with science and technology have won one victory after another: the productive forces have developed rapidly and the living standards have improved significantly, and human beings seem to have got rid of the threat of nature. This makes people change their traditional attitude of reverence for natural forces, become masters of nature and have the ability to transform nature. As a result, people began to marvel at the great feat of defeating nature, and praise for material civilization was everywhere. People of insight call for environmental protection, reminding people that there is only one earth! But people are intoxicated with the joyful atmosphere and don't like these crisis consciousness. Finally, in just a few decades, the air, water, soil and other resources on which human beings depend have been seriously damaged, and large oases have become deserts, and a large number of species are on the verge of extinction. In recent years, mad cow disease and dioxin related to environmental pollution have brought panic to Europe and the world.
In this era driven by economic interests, fast and efficient has become a fashion, and human factors have penetrated into various fields, bringing hidden dangers to our survival. Fertilizers, pesticides, pigments, preservatives, growth hormones and industrial wastes are increasingly injected into our food, poisoning our bodies.
Over-reliance on medical means makes us gradually lose our innate ability to regulate our bodies. In the 1980s, the medical community optimistically announced that human beings would completely eradicate infectious diseases before 2 1 century. However, the development of the situation is completely unexpected. According to medical statistics, so far, all kinds of viruses have produced antibodies to all antibiotics, and the mutation rate of virus genes is accelerating day by day, which means that inflammation may not be cured one day in the future. What is even more worrying is that old plagues such as cholera, diphtheria, plague and dengue fever have resurfaced, and new plagues such as AIDS, Lyme disease, Legionnaires' disease, Hantan disease, Lassa fever and terror have swept the world like a storm and come to mankind.
Modern society is obsessed with wealth, power and young passion, advocates intelligence rather than wisdom, and praises the most superficial, rough and useless aspects of human wisdom. Modern civilization uses all media to attack us from all angles, builds an unbreakable drowning environment around us, and claims to respect life. In fact, it makes life barren and meaningless. Although it keeps shouting to make us happy, it actually hinders the source of real happiness. The temptation of material interests and the ubiquitous competition make us lose our inner peace. We are desperately greedy and persistent, addicted to the trap of material desires, and our greedy hearts are increasing. Confused by false hopes and ambitions, we dream of success and happiness, but in fact, the cold reality makes us more and more swallowed up by arrogance, resentment, jealousy, fear, chaos, emptiness and anxiety. Although fatigue haunts us day and night, we still keep up with the pace of modernization, and life is no longer elegant and quiet. During the day, we show people a "perfect" self in the disguise of detachment from confidence, but when we are alone at night, our hearts are often dark and troubled.
We have always been so obsessed with external seeking that we can't observe our inner world carefully and get in touch with our inner life. We avoid the deep meaning of the spiritual world and deny every concept with eternal sacred significance. Almost all our education tells us that everything is unreal except the world that the five senses can recognize.
The gap between fantasy and reality has made many people lose their way and become rebels of civilized society. Worldwide, drug abuse, alcoholism, pornography, violence, fraud and juvenile delinquency have become serious social problems, and newspapers have reported more and more incidents. We feel that the world is getting worse and we hate that people have ulterior motives. We look at the people around us with suspicion and constantly strengthen our psychological defense. We don't expect help from others, and we have no energy to help others. As long as we don't get hurt by others, we are satisfied.
We are like crawling in the endless desert, almost dying of thirst, but what modern civilization gives us is a glass of salt water, which makes us more thirsty. Our hearts are completely confused, and we don't even believe that truth really exists. We are confused by all kinds of feelings, so we get lost endlessly in the cycle.
When people are born, troubles are born together. In this world of more pain and less joy, in this changeable world, gorgeous as a dream, pain and trouble are accompanied by short-lived joy.
Sakyamuni Buddha called this world "the world of concubines", which means "forbearance". In other words, the suffering of this world is unbearable, but all beings are persistent.
The Buddha also called the concubines' world at this time the "five turbid evil world", saying that our world was plagued by frequent disasters, rampant evil, rampant superstition, rampant troubles and short life.
Living in this world, we strive to have eternal happiness and always cherish ourselves everywhere: greedy for money, greedy for color, proud of fame, greedy for raising, and greedy for ease. However, this body is like soap bubbles, no matter how it is maintained, it will be difficult to preserve, and the five kinds of happiness, such as wealth, fame and fortune, diet and sleep, are like scratching scabies with your hands, which makes you happy and painful. According to the Buddhist scriptures, people who are greedy for love and are not satisfied are like walking against the wind with torches, and they are bound to set themselves on fire. There is also a metaphor in the scripture: the greed for worldly wealth is like the greed of an ignorant child for the honey of the blade. It is not as beautiful as a meal, but it is in danger of cutting its tongue.
Due to the impermanence of all things, all kinds of sufferings in the process of reincarnation, such as birth, illness, pain, love and separation, resentment and hate, trouble, etc., are indeed the fundamental shortcomings of life.
Therefore, to truly understand the mysteries of the universe and life, to master the method of transcending the cycle of life and death, and to turn the uncertain life into a complete life of eternal happiness and absolute freedom is the goal and ultimate destination of life.
However, all beings ignore impermanence and sink into the realm of life and death. Where is the wisdom of transcendence and liberation? In suffering, we will only sigh: "Alas, let fate take its course!" "
Come to think of it, such an ordinary sigh seems to hide something special in our hearts. In obscurity, we may believe that there is higher wisdom or fairness in the universe, but because of the entanglement of the world, the problems that need to be solved urgently in our hearts are put on hold again and again.
Get married and live a quiet life. One day, suddenly a beautiful woman dressed up beautifully came. The host asked, "Who are you?" The beauty replied, "I am the god of wealth." The host was glad to invite her into the house and warmly welcomed her.
At this time, the knock on the door rang again. At first glance, the host was an ugly woman in rags. She said, "I am the god of plague that makes people poor." The master was frightened and wanted to drive her away. The ugly girl told him, "The God of Wealth who came just now is my sister, and our sisters have never been separated. If you kick me out, my sister will leave too. "
Sure enough, after she left, the beautiful god of wealth disappeared.
If you are alive, you will die, and if you are happy, you will be in trouble. People only know the pursuit of happiness, but they don't know that there is pain behind happiness.
It is not easy for people to survive in this world. The pressure of life is everywhere, and disaster comes unexpectedly. The gap in my heart makes me tired, but it seems that I have to go with the flow. "Don't want to wait until the old? Can you get rid of troubles? How to find the light? ..... "These questions urge us to reveal our destiny, get rid of our pain and surpass ourselves.
When we try to find a clean spiritual home in this muddy world, despite many obstacles, we will eventually approach Buddhism. ...
