Sheng Wang is the president of Shanghai Baxter Boya College and the executive director of Beijing Normal University Youth Financial Literacy Education Research Center. After listening to the playback, I had a certain understanding of liberal arts education and immediately admired it. Liberal education is also called liberal education, humanistic education, generalist education or holistic education. Originally, it refers to the basic subject that free people in a free western ancient city should study. Chinese and foreign cultures are interlinked, and ancient Confucianism in China requires students to master six basic talents. In modern society, liberal arts education is regarded as a kind of all-round quality education based on people in society.

Do you still need liberal arts education in the future?

The future needs liberal arts education too much!

Because what children need most is quality education. Because simple knowledge is far from meeting children's needs. Scotland, a great educational country in the world, is also enlightening us that education is to cultivate people who can adapt to social development in the future, and students must be taught to learn, and it is also to cultivate interest and ability in lifelong learning. This puts higher demands on us. As educators, we should really think about how to cultivate talents who can adapt to society, how to cultivate all-round development people and ensure the healthy growth of every student!
