After evaluating the benefits of Project Hope, China Research Center for Science and Technology for Development concluded that Project Hope initiated and implemented by China Youth Foundation has become the most extensive and influential civil society cause in China in 1990s.

Since the implementation of Hope Project, it aims to help the government popularize nine-year compulsory education and help the poor, adhere to the principle of "timely assistance", and build Hope Primary School by helping children who drop out of school because of family poverty.
