Worst of all, she gradually became dissatisfied with being a wife in the family and finally decided to go to society. Shi Jun watched his wife "lose control" and swallowed the bitter fruit. The novel is not so much a satire on the failure of Junshi's creative project as a praise for the release of women's freedom and independence potential.
