Interpretation of 2022 compulsory education art curriculum standard

A few days ago, the Ministry of Education officially announced the "Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)", which indicates that the art education in China's compulsory education stage has officially entered the era of core literacy. The four core qualities of art curriculum include aesthetic perception, artistic expression, creative practice and cultural understanding.

As a "new generation" art teacher, while understanding the specific content and concept of the new curriculum standard, we should also keep up with the pace of "change" and strive to explore how schools, teachers and students and art courses in the future can adjust and actively adapt to the new requirements put forward by "core literacy".

When I saw the title of the new art curriculum standard (2022 edition), my first reaction was the word "art", which used to be a separate subject such as music curriculum standard and art curriculum standard, but now it is all included in the word "art"

The new curriculum standard integrates all art disciplines in the form of topics, and pays attention to the interdisciplinary integration between art courses in content.

Secondly, there will be new textbooks after the new curriculum standard. Compared with the concept and theoretical content of the new curriculum standard, I actually look forward to directly reflecting the actual essence of the former. I want to know how the new textbooks will change with the reform of the curriculum standard, how to embody artistry in the textbooks, and how to embody interdisciplinary integration.

After careful study, I can't help feeling a lot. I am very happy. On the one hand, art has received real attention. On the other hand, compared with the previous version, the content of the new curriculum has been better optimized, the route is clearer, and many key points have been refined: guidance, learning, examination and evaluation are more clear.

At the same time, it also strengthens the connection between students' learning periods, and pays attention to the span and scale of art in each age group, from shallow to deep, step by step.

The teaching methods of the new curriculum standard are more diversified. Focusing on core literacy, we can carry out various learning methods such as projects, questions and themes, which fully embodies the concept of "learning by doing" and combines life and social situations to cultivate students' ability to find, ask and solve problems.

In addition, the ideological and political concept of the new curriculum standard is also very clear, and it is clearly put forward that education on major themes such as advanced socialist culture and revolutionary culture should be organically integrated into the curriculum, which means that art education should also improve the curriculum in these aspects and work hard to guide students to establish correct values.
