"Seven-star lamp" was originally named "Drum lamp" (solitary lamp), and it was named after seven "Drum lamps". It comes from the allusions in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which was ignited by Kong Ming in order to extend his life.
It has been circulating in Quangang District for a long time. According to legend, in the Qing Dynasty, a "lonely man" from other places lived in Quangang area. It is said that the children he touched can get rid of diseases and eliminate disasters. Then the lonely man disappeared. Many years later, the villagers missed him, so they hung a "lonely lamp" on the Mid-Yuan Festival as a souvenir, praying for the prosperity and scientific development of the population. Later, it was regarded as a family god by some people.
Its lamp is tied to a bamboo pole more than ten feet long. At the top of the bamboo pole, there is a paper crane with its head held high, a gorgeous hexagonal lampshade hanging at its feet, and a main lamp hanging at each corner, which is called the chief lamp. In this way, with paper cranes, there are seven lights, hence the name "seven-star lights".
Quidditch lanterns are made of superior bamboo, in a classical jujube shape and covered with cotton paper. On the east side of the lantern, the picture of "Two Boys Riding Kirin" is painted in multicolor, and on the west side, the scarlet letter "God-given liner" is engraved horizontally. The exterior of the lamp is coated with tung oil, and the light is bright and eye-catching.
