In July 2000, the Ministry of Education approved 20 universities including Fudan University as pilot institutions of modern distance education. In the same year, Fudan University Online Education College was established. Under the guidance of the spirit of the Ministry of Education, the college carries out academic education and non-academic education. In the past eleven years, our college has always adhered to the brand of Fudan University, and has always taken participating in the implementation of modern distance education as its national strategy and mission. Under the leadership of the party and the government, our college has further established the school-running concept of online education: give full play to and utilize the resources and advantages of Fudan University, adhere to the brand, take students as the foundation, and put quality first. In terms of academic education, relying on the subject resources and teaching resources of Fudan University, our college has taught students in accordance with their aptitude, combined the characteristics and advantages of online education with the requirements of urgently needed talents in society, and successively set up the 18 major, paying attention to the cultivation of students' ability, emphasizing the combination of theory and practice in teaching content, and emphasizing application and operability; Teaching methods focus on cultivating students' ability to analyze and solve problems, case teaching, interactive teaching and discussion class teaching; In the way of assessment, we pay attention to formative assessment in the form of homework exercises, case analysis, thesis reports and investigation reports, and pay attention to the training and cultivation of students' understanding, judgment and decision-making ability.
