College entrance examination reform

The reform of college entrance examination in China is progressing steadily. In 2000, the Ministry of Education plans to carry out 3+X pilot projects in some provinces (cities) such as Jiangsu and Shanghai on the basis of 3+X pilot projects in Guangdong Province. The proposal of "re-examination" is still inconclusive.

Teachers' continuing education

The drafts of these two documents were submitted to the delegates for discussion at the relevant meeting held in Shanghai in August this year.

Educational supervision and evaluation

The Ministry of Education has formulated the Opinions on Strengthening Education Supervision and Evaluation. The importance of this document to further strengthen education supervision and evaluation. This paper puts forward some guiding opinions on the nature of educational supervision and evaluation, the responsibilities of supervision, the construction of educational supervision and evaluation system, and why we should strengthen and improve the leadership of supervision and evaluation and give full play to the role of supervision.
