For more than 30 years, I have been quietly bowing my head to teach, and I have never seriously and systematically thought about how to be a teacher. During the summer vacation of 20 13, I used my spare time to edit the compilation of research results of the national project "A candle makes a light" which I presided over. There are many feelings and thoughts when choosing topics, planning the layout of articles and proofreading the research papers of front-line teachers. I wrote down these thoughts and feelings by hand and added them to the current edition under the guidance of "Editor's Note". Looking back at these "notes" now, I feel that I have actually unconsciously thought more comprehensively about the responsibilities and qualities of teachers.
Grasping the summer leisure and editing the compilation of research results at the highest temperature in history is an answer to how to be a teacher.

The world praises teachers as "candles" that burn themselves and illuminate students. We may be such a group of candles, burning a little candlelight and gathering into a light to illuminate the growth of students. In order to make the candle glow with wisdom, we think and practice the teaching concept of "knowledge as the carrier, ability as the content and innovation as the purpose".

Grass-roots teachers will inevitably encounter confusion in their work and study, and they will remain confused until they are solved. To confuse, it is better to condense the confusion into a theme, upgrade it into a topic, study and reflect, demonstrate theoretically and verify in practice, resolve the confusion and move towards the truth.
It is wise to solve puzzles and prove that the unknown can be improved.
-Teaching and research need to communicate and discuss, talk about their own confusion, talk about their own gains, listen to other people's reflections and see other people's experiences. Communication can not only exchange one idea for more ideas, but also bring inspiration for thinking and the spark of generate's wisdom.

What is taught in the classroom is knowledge, but knowledge is vast. Knowledge can be divided into what knowledge, why knowledge and how knowledge. "What" knowledge makes people know why, "Why" knowledge makes people know why, and "How" knowledge cultivates people's application skills. How are the curriculum standards and teaching materials presented? Are our curriculum standards and teaching materials scientific? Are they all conducive to students' growth? Actually, it is not.
In the crowd seeking knowledge, we may be the smallest. But we don't forget our mission, and often reflect on what kind of knowledge we should give students, and whether the knowledge we teach is conducive to the growth of students. Therefore, look up to the distance, plunge into the trek, explore the true meaning of knowledge, reflect on the meaning of culture, and distinguish the authenticity of knowledge. Because we don't want to be slaves of knowledge, we also want to be teachers with culture and personality.

-The new curriculum reform sets emotion, attitude and values as one of the three-dimensional goals, which shows the importance of emotional education. The quality of classroom teaching depends on the organic combination of teaching ideas, teaching methods and teaching paths. Some teachers are inferior to other teachers in methods and knowledge, but the teaching effect is better than other teachers. The reason is that the teaching paths are different. "Learn from your teacher and believe in your way" profoundly reveals this truth. Therefore, emotional care is an important way of classroom teaching.

In order to make every student have a good harvest, we should think hard and practice without regrets.
