Lanting Prize is held every three years. In the 1990s, in order to stimulate the development of calligraphy art, the Calligraphy Association and the Federation of Literary and Art Circles jointly established a "highest prize", named after the Lanting Prize, the world's favorite "the best calligraphy in the world". The selection began on 200 1 and is held every three years, aiming at selecting "talents" with excellent level, influence and innovation. Lanting Award includes not only the basic gold and silver awards, but also the lifetime achievement award, which is extremely rich in gold content, education, technology and development. Only those who have made achievements in all aspects can win such a high reputation and represent the "ceiling" of contemporary book circles, which deserves the admiration and respect of future generations. As of March 25th, 2024, there were 15 winners of Lanting Award for Lifetime Achievement. From the sixth session, the Lifelong Achievement Award will be cancelled and changed to "Lifelong Achievement Calligrapher of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles".
