How is family education awakened?
An upright man is open and poised while a petty man is anxious and worried.

Sensitive and eager to learn, not ashamed to ask questions, so it is called "Wen".

Among any three people who walk, I will definitely find something to learn. Their advantages are to be imitated, and their disadvantages are to be avoided.

Confucius is the greatest educator in Chinese history. He spent most of his life in education and trained a large number of talents, and was honored as a "model for later generations".

Confucius was able to achieve great success in education and formed an enlightening educational thought, which can be said to be unparalleled for more than two thousand years. It is of great significance to study Confucius' educational thought seriously to explore family education.

Confucius can bring us a lot of thoughts about family education and the meaning of life. Every step of the road of life contains a person's thinking about the meaning of his life, whether it is positive or negative.

The purpose of education is to awaken

Confucius said, "I am wise. Ignorance is also. Someone asked me, but it was empty. I'm exhausted at both ends. " ("The Analects of Confucius Zi Han")

Confucius didn't think he knew everything. On the contrary, he thinks he is ignorant in many ways. He himself said, "Do I have knowledge? I don't have much knowledge If a farmer asks me a question, I can't answer it at all. My method is to ask questions from the pros and cons of other people's questions, step by step, and try to tell him after getting the answer. "

Confucius understood the questions asked by others through step-by-step questioning, and finally told him the conclusion. We can imagine that in the process of Confucius' inquiry, the solution to this problem was actually in the mind of the questioner, but it was not clearly presented. Confucius is helping him analyze and put forward the answer.

This enlightens us that education is not about parents stuffing their children with a ready-made answer, but inspiring children to find the answer themselves. It's not that parents have a treasure and force it on their children, but that they have found their own inner treasure.

Plato, an ancient Greek philosopher, even thought that learning is memory, and the task of parents is to stimulate the knowledge that has long been hidden in children's hearts. Parents teach their children a lot of knowledge, and ultimately they have to understand and use it flexibly. We tell our children a lot about being a man, and ultimately we have to rely on the children themselves to experience and improve in life practice.

Therefore, education should first awaken children's curiosity and self-esteem, so as to get twice the result with half the effort.

Family education is a garden for children to grow up, so we should fertilize and water them according to their characteristics. Like parents, we should see the potential of each child and encourage the development of various talents according to the characteristics of each child. Education is a technology, but also an art, which needs to be done with heart and love.

Growth is more important than success.

Confucius said, "Disciples are filial when they enter, and filial when they leave. They sincerely believe that they love people all the time, but they are kind. I have spare capacity to study literature. " (Learning the Analects of Confucius)

Confucius said: "Young people should be filial to their parents at home, love their brothers when going out, be cautious, be honest and trustworthy, care about others extensively, and be close to others with kindness. If there is still spare capacity, they should learn cultural knowledge. "

Thus, Confucius attached great importance to moral education. Confucius put a person's moral education before knowledge education. One should be filial, loyal, loving and caring for others first, and then learn cultural knowledge.

Parents cultivate their children's talents in all aspects, such as piano, painting and dancing. And their children's extracurricular time is occupied by various extracurricular interest classes. It's not that interest classes are useless, but too much is always bad.

Children need to cultivate basic qualities such as filial piety, friendship and honesty, which are easy to cultivate when children are young.

However, now many parents have made mistakes in the direction. They put too much emphasis on their children's success rather than their growth.

Moral education is a compulsory course from kindergarten to university, and it is also a practical course. Our education must establish the idea that growth is more important than success.

The purpose of education is not to succeed, but to grow up and become an adult with a bottom line, faith, responsibility and achievement.

In today's society, many people regard material wealth as an important criterion to measure a person's success. Such a concept of success can indeed inspire people's enthusiasm, but the abundance of material wealth often cannot make up for the spiritual shortcomings.

Family education should dig out every child's good nature, and the most important thing to cultivate children is the growth of mind, which is the growth of vision and mind.

Be a responsible gentleman

After Luz came, he met his father-in-law.

Lutz asked, "Have you seen the master?"

Grandfather-in-law said, "If you are not diligent, who is the master?" The staff who planted it didn't succeed. Branch arches and stands. Don't sleep on the road, kill the chicken for Xiaomi and see his second son.

Tomorrow, Lutz will tell you.

Confucius said, "Hermit is also." Let Lutz oppose it. Come on, just do it.

Lutz said: "Being an official is meaningless. Festivals for young people and the elderly cannot be abolished; How to abolish the meaning of monarch and minister? Trying to clean up his body, it's chaotic again. The official position of the gentleman also carried out his righteousness. If the Tao is not good, you will know it. " (The Analects of Confucius)

Lutz followed Confucius and fell behind. He met an old man with crutches and weeding tools. Luz asked him, "Have you met my parents?"

The old man said, "You have limbs but you don't work. You can't tell the kind of grain with your eyes. Who knows who your parents are? " Say that finish, put the crutches in the field to weed. Lutz arched his hands and stood respectfully by. So the old man took Luz home for the night, killed the chicken, cooked a meal for Luz, and asked his two sons to come out to see Luz. The next day, Luz found Confucius and told him about yesterday.

Confucius said, "This is a hermit." So let Luz go back and ask the old man. Lutz went to the old man's residence, only to find that the old man had gone out.

Lutz said: "It is immoral not to come out into politics. You can't abandon the ceremony of respect and inferiority, can you abandon the ceremony of the monarch and the minister? I want to keep myself noble and pure, but I ignore the important ethical relationship between young and old. When a gentleman comes out of politics to do things, he is doing his moral and responsibility. As for whether Tianxia Avenue can work now, we have long known. "

This story is very wonderful, and we can get inspiration from many things:

First of all, we can see that under the guidance of Confucius, Luz has become a gentleman who knows and acts as one.

Secondly, Confucius respects hermits and likes to ask them for directions.

Thirdly, hermits stay away from Confucius, thinking that his practice is useless, but they also stay away from him;

Finally, and most importantly, Confucius has the spirit of knowing what not to do.

Lutz in Confucius clearly knew that their Tao could not be well implemented at that time, but they still actively did it, lobbying the rulers of various countries to accept their own ideas of governing the country. This is the gentleman spirit of Confucius. This spirit of knowing what it is but not why it is is especially commendable.

Confucius' greatness lies not only in his theory of benevolence, but also in his practice and leadership of the team, which he knew he could not do. This kind of responsibility and practice is somewhat tragic, earth-shattering and awe-inspiring.

No matter how helpless the problem is, don't give yourself a reason to obey evil, don't give yourself a reason to go with the flow, and don't give yourself a reason to evade responsibility and avoid problems.

We should educate our children: don't kneel, don't lie down, stand up and try our best to be a real gentleman like Confucius and his children under possible conditions.
