A Case Study of Youth Social Work
Xiaoling is a third-grade primary school student and has been raised by her grandparents. As a social worker in the community family service center, you know that there are more and more Separate child care families in the community (that is, grandparents adopt grandchildren). Please draw up a community service plan according to the needs of these children.

Key points of answering questions

1. Problem statement and analysis

Generation-separated education is due to the overall changes in society, the aging population structure, the one-child policy, the increasingly centralized family structure, the increase in female labor rate, and the dual employment of husband and wife, resulting in unattended children and lack of policy support. Children living in intergenerational parenting families may have the following needs.

(1) The need for love and care. The generation of intergenerational family education is often due to the fact that young parents need to invest a lot of time and energy in their work, so the time for caring, nurturing, disciplining and caring for their children is greatly reduced. However, for children in childhood, establishing safe attachment to parents can develop many prosocial behaviors of children and promote their psychological, intellectual and social development.

(2) The need to make friends and play games. Children in intergenerational parenting families are often the center of the family. While being protected by their families, they need to cooperate with their peers and need a competitive growth environment. At the same time, with the growth of age, beneficial game activities have a positive impact on children's physical and mental development, education, moral formation and social development.

(3) The need for academic guidance. Because the children in the intergenerational parenting family basically live with the elderly, a considerable number of elderly people are unable to help their children learn and have nowhere to get help. Therefore, some children in such families also urgently need academic guidance.

2. Scheme design

According to the needs of children in the above-mentioned generation-separated families, we now design the following community service programs.

(1) Program Name: Child Group Welfare

(2) Program objective: To strengthen the relationship between parents and children in families brought up by different generations, broaden the scope of children's social interaction and activities, and enable them to obtain a better growth environment.

(3) Scheme implementation strategy:

(a) to carry out parent-child relationship activities and provide parenting education and guidance services for intergenerational parenting family members;

② Make full use of the resources of community schools and regularly carry out children's dating games;

(3) Establish a community volunteer team to provide homework counseling services for children in the community on a regular basis.

④ Scheme implementation: It involves integrating community resources, providing services, monitoring the implementation progress, handling crises, etc.

⑤ Project evaluation: including project implementation evaluation, family members' satisfaction with various activities, children's satisfaction with related activities, and effect evaluation.

Case 4

For more than half a year, Teacher Zhou of Class Two in kindergarten often found that the children in the class had bruises on their stones. Three days ago, Teacher Zhou witnessed the beating history of Shi's mother, Ms. Zhang, at the entrance of the kindergarten, so Teacher Zhou came to the community family service center and asked social workers to intervene. If you are a professional social worker, please design the work points of social workers at all stages according to the process of case work.

Key points of answering questions

In this case, the helper is Zhou, a kindergarten teacher, who reflects that Shi, a child in the class, may be abused by his mother. However, it should be noted that the case owner of this case is not Mr. Zhou, the helper, but Shi and his mother, Ms. Zhang. Therefore, after talking with Mr. Zhou and understanding the basic situation of the matter, social workers need to visit Ms. Zhang to understand the ins and outs of the matter and start case counseling.

(1) receiving stage. The social worker met Ms. Zhang for the first time and understood the purpose of this lecture. Social workers should use sympathy, respect, sincerity, concreteness and other skills, and use the principles of acceptance and non-judgment to establish a good professional relationship with Ms. Zhang. At the same time, choosing a safe, warm and comfortable place for talks can help Ms. Zhang explain the facts and clarify things in a relaxed state. Social workers have a preliminary understanding of the cause, degree and frequency of the problem.

(2) Estimation stage. On the basis of existing information, further collect information comprehensively and identify problems and needs with Ms. Zhang. Data collection can be considered from three dimensions: problems, people and environment, while paying attention to Ms. Zhang's advantages and strengths. According to the available information, it can be preliminarily judged that Ms. Zhang's problem belongs to both psychological and behavioral aspects. Psychological problems need to be determined according to the actual interview, but it may be because Ms. Zhang's life pressure is high, which may come from family affairs or work, so it is necessary to collect information first before making estimation and judgment. Behavioral problems are manifested in the venting of negative emotions and inappropriate educational methods, such as beating daughters. In addition, daughter Shi may also need appropriate emotional counseling.

(3) Planning stage. Social workers help Ms. Zhang to work out the goals and plans of case counseling. The overall goal of case work is to improve Ms. Zhang's psychological pressure and parenting style, so that she can deal with her emotions in an appropriate way, and she should also adopt appropriate parenting style for her daughter; Deal with the emotional problems caused by Shi's being beaten. In order to achieve this general goal, Ms. Zhang needs psychological counseling and behavior correction. First, help Ms. Zhang to vent the negative emotions accumulated in her heart; Second, help Zhang Nv learn the appropriate emotional venting methods and hard stress management skills; Third, change Ms. Zhang's inappropriate parenting style and teach her to adopt appropriate education methods. At the same time, it is necessary to guide Shi, one is to deal with the emotional injury of being beaten, and the other is to teach him the skills of communicating with his parents.

(4) Implementation stage. Carry out the service according to the plan and make adjustments according to the actual situation. This can be carried out around three aspects: first, strengthen the strength of the case owner, deal with Ms. Zhang's negative emotions, and teach her to learn positive stress management skills and parenting skills; Second, deal with the emotional injury of history and teach him the strategy of active communication with his parents; Third, improve the environment of the case owner, strengthen the support of family and kindergarten to Shi and his mother, and promote their change and growth.

(5) Evaluation stage. Social workers evaluate the effect, process and satisfaction of case counseling. Here, social workers can also meet with Ms. Zhang's daughter Shi to ask about her mother's changes and analyze the effect of case counseling. In addition, it is necessary to inform in advance that case counseling is coming to an end.

(6) the final stage. Social workers should review the whole process of case counseling with Ms. Zhang to consolidate the counseling effect. When Ms. Zhang shows her attachment to leaving, social workers should properly handle her feelings of leaving, and encourage her to stick to the methods learned from case counseling to deal with her emotions and her daughter's upbringing.

(7) Follow-up service. After the case is over, you can follow up the case and pay a return visit every once in a while when necessary, asking the kindergarten to give Shi more attention and care.
