Pingdingshan College is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the People's Government of Henan Province. The school is located at the foot of Bai Gui Lake and Guo Ding Mountain in Xinhua District, Pingdingshan City, with beautiful natural environment and profound cultural heritage.
Pingdingshan College, formerly known as Pingdingshan Normal School, was founded in 1959 and 10. 1August, 1977, Pingdingshan Normal School was approved to attach a junior college class. June 1984, changed to Pingdingshan Teachers College. In May 2004, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education. 20 12 1 1 passed the undergraduate teaching assessment of the Ministry of Education.
The school adheres to the orientation of "local" and "application-oriented" and is committed to building a "high-level application-oriented university with distinctive characteristics, outstanding advantages and strong ability to serve regional economic and social development". During the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period, Henan Province will focus on the construction of undergraduate universities with demonstration application technology, pilot universities with comprehensive reform of "three rounds of education", advanced units for the construction of grass-roots party organizations in colleges and universities in Henan Province, and units for the construction of universities with international characteristics in Henan Province.
