Which foreign country has no compulsory education!
Most African countries became independent after the 1960s, that is, more than ten years after the founding of New China, but compulsory education was realized soon after independence. Note that international "compulsory education" must be free, just like "voluntary labor" and "voluntary blood donation", there is no charge. However, China did not realize free compulsory education until 2008, which was several decades behind Africa. Let's not talk about the richer countries in North Africa, but take the poorer countries in South Africa, such as Kenya, which provides free nutritious lunches and free accommodation for all primary and secondary school students. It's really a shame to see this in Africa. It is an indisputable fact that China, the second largest economy in the world, lags far behind Africa in the proportion of investment in education.

Ethiopia is one of the poorest 10 countries in the world, but this country not only realizes free education in primary and secondary schools, but also provides free textbooks by the government, and even their universities are basically free. When I was working in Ethiopia, I hired a college graduate as a secretary. His name is Ashenafi Legesse Aga and he graduated from Gondal University, majoring in business administration. Through him, I learned about the university fees in Ethiopia. Studying at a university in Ethiopia does not require students to pay a penny. Teaching materials are provided free of charge by the government, and other expenses are subsidized by the government, including meals of 65,438+0.20 Birr/month (65,438+0 Birr is equivalent to 0.8 yuan RMB), accommodation of 60 Birr/month and tuition of 50 Birr/month, totaling 230 Birr/month. There are 10 months of school time in a year, and it costs 2,300 bills a year, which is 9,200 bills in four years. This 9200 bill is only kept by the state. After 1 year and a half, students find stable jobs after graduation and continue to work, the state starts to deduct this fee from their wages every month, and after1year, the average monthly deduction is 77 birr. If you can't find a job after graduation, the state won't ask the students for the money back.

Education in Cameroon is free from primary school to university, and universities only charge a registration fee of 50,000 CFA francs a year, about RMB 750 yuan, which is roughly the minimum monthly salary stipulated by the Cameroonian government. Students' dormitories on university campuses are all given priority to girls. Dormitories are all single rooms, and two people share a bathroom. The annual accommodation fee 10000 CFA francs is about RMB 150 yuan, which is similar to free accommodation. In Cameroon, some private schools are also free, which may be unbelievable to domestic readers. Private schools are run by their own bosses. How can they make money for free? Isn't that a loss?

In foreign countries, many rich people run education, which is the same as charity. They don't charge tuition fees, and use the money they earn from business to pay for all the expenses of the school. Foreign countries regard education as a career and will not make money from students. China regards education as an industry. Running an education, like running a company, is to extract money from students. Foreigners have money for education, while China people have money for education. This is the fundamental difference between Chinese and foreign educational concepts.

The general impression of African people may be war, famine and poverty, which is misleading. There are poor and rich people in Africa, but on the whole, the lives of African people are by no means as miserable as reported. In 32 countries in Africa, the minimum income of workers exceeds that of China. Foreign dignitaries visited China, and the China government arranged to visit the most economically developed areas, such as Shanghai and Shenzhen, to show our strength and wealth. African governments receive foreign officials and visit the poorest places. Why? In order to get aid, if all you see are good places, there is no reason for foreign countries to help Africa.

Twenty-four schools run by floating population in Beijing were demolished, and the problem of10.4 million migrant workers' children attending school has not been completely solved. There are still many children with learning difficulties in inland rural areas of China, and the school buildings are in tatters. It is really unreasonable to spend 2 billion yuan on the "Hope Project" in Africa when our education is far inferior to that in Africa. Love should start from the side, old me and old man, young me and young man, how can we sweep the world without sweeping the room!
