The Historical Evolution of Xinping No.1 Middle School
Xinping No.1 Middle School, formerly known as Xinping County Junior High School, was founded in March of the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927). With the support of Zhang Yanan, the then county magistrate, Guangxu of Xinping took the initiative to establish Xinping County Junior Middle School and served as the principal, with a three-year academic system. In that year 1 class enrolled 24 students, and in the following year 1 class enrolled more than 20 students. In view of the historical conditions at that time, the school enrolled students every two years, and the school was a two-level school.

The establishment of the school, like a dazzling lightning, opened the door to ignorance and poverty and brought green vitality to the students, thus opening a new chapter in the history of Xinping education. In order to write down this rich and colorful stroke, Ma Taiyuan, who is "looking for a Confucian forest", personally wrote the school motto of "diligence, simplicity and perseverance" and wrote an inscription with the stone as his ambition. In addition, in order to select the backbone and encourage students to become pillars, a school song was also presented.

1940, the school entrusts teacher training and recruits 60 freshmen for one year. 1940 The normal class enrolls 60 students with a one-year schooling. 1949, the school has 8 faculty members and more than 70 students. From the establishment of the school to 1949, the school enrolled 19 classes and graduated 16 classes, with a total of more than 400 graduates.

At that time, Matthew Yuan and his peers worked hard and made indelible contributions to Xinping's education.

1June, 949, the school moved from Dongyue Temple to County Yamen (now the Party School of the County Party Committee) and was renamed Xinping County People's Middle School. 1950 In August, the school was renamed Xinping Junior High School in Yunnan Province, and the enrollment scale expanded year by year. By June, 1958, the school had 6 classes with 333 students and 65438 teachers. 1960, at the suggestion of Ma, former secretary of culture and education of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, special funds were allocated to build a new school building in Huangpotou, the former site of the school, which was completed and relocated in 1964. 1September, 1965, in order to solve the problem of students in Jianxing and Pingzhang, two remote and cold mountainous areas, Xinping Middle School in Shuanggou Street set up a branch school to recruit 58 students in one class. A year later, the branch school closed and the teachers and students merged into Xinping County No.1 Middle School.

1962, the school set up a high school class for work-study programs. 197 1 year, the school began to recruit ordinary high schools 1 class. 1978 was entrusted by Yuxi normal school to start a normal class. By 1982, five classes were enrolled and graduated 186.

After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, bringing the education front out of chaos and cleaning up the roots has brought epoch-making historical opportunities for the development of the school. The school expands the scale of running a school year by year and constantly improves the conditions for running a school. Now the school covers an area of 108 mu, with nearly 3,000 students in 62 teaching classes and 256 faculty members, including 43 with senior titles and 52 with intermediate titles. 200 1, the school was rated as a second-class and first-class senior complete middle school in Yunnan province. 1992, the school and Beijing 156 middle school formed a national unity school. In 2007, it became a twinning school with Ji Yan Middle School in Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, and a sister school with Beijing No.24 Middle School.
