Nanjing Art College is the second batch of undergraduate courses, referred to as "two books" for short.

Nanjing Art College is the only comprehensive art college in Jiangsu Province. Its predecessor was the Shanghai Painting Academy founded on 19 12 by Mr. Liu Haisu, the founder of China Fine Arts Education. After a century's construction and development, Nanjing Art College has thrived and developed into an influential comprehensive art college at home and abroad.

Nanjing University of the Arts was founded in 1952 after the adjustment of colleges and departments in national universities. According to the decision of the Central Ministry of Culture, East China Art College was formed by the merger of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Shandong University Art Department. June 1959 was named Nanjing Art College, which was the earliest art college established in China.
