The Content of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Education
The main content of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom education is the religious education of "worshiping God". It unifies politics, religion and education, and religious education is also political education. They regard Hong Xiuquan as the supreme leader of religion-the son of God. The Old Testament and the New Testament of Christianity were retranslated by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and boldly revised in some parts that were not in line with the interests of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's revolution, becoming the Old Testament and the New Testament of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. Before 1853, many letters from Heavenly Father and Heavenly King were compiled into letters (True Covenant) to establish the sacred status of Hong Xiuquan, Yang and others. These three books are the most important official books of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the main teaching materials of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom education. According to the celestial system, this is a textbook that every child must read. In addition, the Lord's prayer, hymns, dogmas, children's poems, three-character scriptures, imperial thousand-character books and other political and religious reading materials are also important teaching materials for the education of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The later revised Four Books and Five Classics have also become important teaching materials. In addition to political and religious books, some leaders of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom also paid attention to the teaching of science and technology and demanded to learn western cultural knowledge. Hong Xiuquan himself was one of the "advanced China people" who tried to seek truth from the West in modern China. Hong Ren also advocated learning science and technology in New Senior Minister's Book. The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom also compiled some teaching materials for military technology education for its troops, such as Wu Lue, The Great Sage's Imperial Decree on the Size of the Art of War, Flood and Drought Tactics, and Four Articles of the Art of War by Sun Tzu.
