Founded in 1962, this primary school is the first batch of provincial key primary schools and the only national experimental school for calligraphy art education in our province. The current Chief Secretary is Liao Xiumei. This school is a public primary school managed by Gulou District Education Bureau, and the counterpart middle school is Pingtung Middle School.
