Qixia District, according to official website of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Zijin School was founded in 1999, and was transformed into an independent college at undergraduate level with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2004. It is located in Qixia District, Nanjing. Nanjing University of Science and Technology, referred to as South Institute of Technology for short, belongs to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is a national "double-class" key university, which is jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province.
