Seven-Day Red Park is located at the foot of Pu Sang Mountain and east of Shantou University. It is one of the key construction projects of "Doing Practical Things for the People" 15 in our city. It is a memorial park decided by the municipal party committee and municipal government to commemorate the historical achievements of proletarian revolutionaries and revolutionary martyrs such as Comrade Zhou Enlai in Chaoshan revolutionary activities, with an area of about 359.87 mu. The whole park is divided into four areas according to its functions: memorial area, recreation area, mountain forest sightseeing area and living area. Its master plan highlights the memorial theme of the park and embodies the unity of educational value, ecological value, sightseeing value and aesthetic value.
On the 7th, the Red Garden held the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the project in1992+February, and started construction in early 1993, with a total investment of more than 25 million yuan. According to the master plan of the park, 65,438+08 projects have been completed in the first and second phases, such as filling soil, roads, pools, monuments and the production of bronze statue of Premier Zhou. Among them, 1996, with the consent of the relevant departments of the municipal government, Yan Guang Memorial Pavilion, a famous overseas Chinese leader ant in Thailand, was built at the expense of overseas Chinese.
According to the person in charge of relevant departments, Seven Days Red Park not only highlights the commemorative theme, but also attaches great importance to garden design. After the completion of the park, our city not only has a revolutionary history education base, but also provides a good place for the general public to have a holiday.
