In order to promote cultural and educational exchanges between China and foreign countries and strengthen international Chinese teaching and foreign aid, the Ministry of Education of China and Hanban are responsible for sending Chinese teaching consultants and Chinese teachers to foreign educational institutions such as the Ministry of Education, universities, primary and secondary schools and other foreign educational institutions according to the educational exchange agreements with foreign countries and the demand for Chinese teaching.

At present, there are 357 public teacher positions in 92 countries in America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania. In 2006, there were 357 in-service teachers.

The usage method is as follows:

First, the basic conditions that national public service teachers need to have

1, China nationality, physical and mental health, under the age of 50 (the age of teachers who do not speak a common language can be relaxed to 55);

2. Good conduct, no record of crime or negligence;

3. Love the international promotion of Chinese, and have a strong sense of mission, honor and responsibility; Love and dedication, strong organizational discipline and dedication;

4. Strong teaching, management and coordination skills;

5. Strong adaptability, good adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills.

6. Have a high level of foreign language, and be proficient in using the language or English of the host country to carry out work;

7. Putonghua pronunciation standard, with a level of Grade II and above in Putonghua;

8. On-the-job teachers in universities, middle schools and primary schools with more than 2 years' teaching experience, college degree or above, and engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese, foreign languages and education. Experience in teaching Chinese as a second language and working overseas is preferred.

Application procedure: At the beginning of each year, according to the selection requirements of the Ministry of Education and the employment conditions of foreign posts, the Ministry of Education issues an admission notice through the recommendation of the education departments (education committees) of provinces (cities) and directly affiliated universities or open online recruitment. After the selection interview is held by Hanban, the term of office is generally two academic years (counting from the date of actually teaching abroad).

Project introduction

In order to strengthen the construction of local teachers, according to foreign demand, in addition to sending Chinese teachers' volunteers from China to teach abroad, the Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban implemented the Chinese teachers' overseas volunteer project, which mainly recruited volunteers from China students and overseas Chinese. Overseas volunteers only enjoy living allowance and no other treatment.

Overseas volunteers should meet the following conditions:

(1) has China nationality and legal residence status in the host country;

(2) Willing to engage in Chinese international education, with professionalism and teamwork spirit;

(3) Bachelor degree or above, standard of Mandarin;

(4) In principle, he is 22 to 50 years old, healthy in body and mind, and has no criminal record;

(5) Good language communication skills and cross-cultural communication skills in the host country;

(6) Those with Chinese teaching experience and Chinese talents are preferred.

All educational institutions with legal personality can apply for overseas volunteers as employers. Overseas volunteer candidates must register in the volunteer registration system (http://vct.hanban.org), fill in the registration materials, download the PDF version of the registration materials and submit them to the employer. The employing unit shall submit the Application Form for Overseas Volunteer Demand of Chinese Teachers (Annex 2) and the application materials for overseas volunteer candidates to the China embassies and consulates abroad, which shall be reviewed by the China embassies and consulates abroad and reported to the Confucius Institute headquarters for approval.
