Do graduate students need a teacher qualification certificate to teach?
Postgraduates in education do not need to take a teacher qualification certificate to teach, but all postgraduates except those in education need a teacher qualification certificate to teach.

First, graduate students in education. On September 4, 2020, the Ministry of Education issued a notice on the Implementation Plan for the Qualification Reform of Primary and Secondary School Teachers with Master of Education. In other words, the school can exempt some or all subjects of the national teacher qualification certificate from the education graduate students who have passed the examination. The target of this notice is graduates from 20021and later years, mainly referring to graduate students majoring in pedagogy, master's degree and Chinese international education, that is, the professional codes are 040 1, 045 1 and 0453.

The final regulation is to certify and grade teachers' majors. Teachers who have passed the first-level certification are required to take the written national examination, and teachers who have passed the second-level certification are required to take the written national examination. The interview is organized by the school. Teachers who have passed the three-level certification are required to attend a written interview.

Second, non-academic graduate students. Non-education graduate students need to take the teacher qualification exam like everyone else. To be on the safe side, you can check the exemption conditions online to see if you meet the exemption conditions, or you can specifically ask the school teachers or counselors.
