Brief introduction of Dade school former site
Passing through the playground behind Zhonglie Palace is the main part of the former site of Dade School, a typical quadrangle in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Dade School History Exhibition in the Auditorium shows visitors how this private primary school has developed from only 20 primary school students to a comprehensive school with more than 1600 students. The school was founded in the 27th year of Guangxu (190 1). It was originally named Mathematics College, Dade Bookstore and CoCo Lee Primary School. In the second year of the Republic of China (19 12), it was renamed Dade School, and then No.1 Middle School was established. 1925, a female middle school has been added, which is a famous private school in Guizhou province. Because Dade School played an active role in the revolutionary struggle against imperialism and feudalism in Guizhou Province, 1982 was approved by the provincial people's government in February and listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in Guizhou Province. This is a museum that reflects the development and changes of modern education in Guiyang and Guizhou.
