Paying Attention to Life Education —— Thoughts on Reading The Secret of Making Children Become Talents

Good afternoon, leading teachers!

The book I share with you is the Secret of Making Children Become Talents written by the silent teacher. This book is an accidental gift from a classmate's parents of my daughter. To tell the truth, after reading the title, I am not very interested in reading it, because I think there are many books with similar titles now. But with the deepening of reading, I found that this book is not only written for parents, in fact, everyone can get a lot of positive energy for spiritual growth from it; The author still has many original opinions on children's education. In particular, his articles pay close attention to the value of life, which is worth learning and practicing by educators. The following are some educational views extracted from my book to share with you.

First, ignite the engine of children's lives-dreams

The silent teacher mentioned in the article that 80% of children's problems are that they don't have dreams and don't pay attention to igniting their dreams. They just give him knowledge and force him blindly, thinking that he can become a talent. In fact, it's like family and school teachers pushing the car hard while the car pulls the handbrake. In the end, all parties including the "car" were in great pain. And dreams are the internal power to light the engine of a car, or the seeds of our destiny. Without dreams, children can never truly become talents and reap their own happiness.

Because dreams can bring us direction, strength and hope. The process of chasing dreams is a process in which children are fearless and gradually face and overcome all kinds of setbacks and difficulties after studying, living and stepping into society. In this process, he can cultivate perseverance, perseverance and persistent pursuit of character and spirit through his own experience. These are priceless treasures of life.

Second, the most important thing in life is growth.

In the third chapter "Nothing is just growing up", the silent teacher mentioned the following views: wealth is nothing more than growing up. Life is only about growth. If we don't pay attention to growth, all our thoughts will become dreams. As educators, the world is changing and children are growing. However, if we are constantly changing and growing, and only live in a narrow world of thinking, we cannot realize wisdom education.

For example, we always blame our children for their rebellion. Actually, it's like planting a fast-growing tree in the house. When the tree grows to the house, the house will think that the tree is against itself. In fact, it is normal for trees to grow tall and grow up, and the house has not changed. Therefore, we should not blindly blame those children who we think are rebellious and disobedient, but try to change our educational methods to adapt to the changing children.

On the other hand, we should also look at children with the eyes of growth and change. Children cannot be labeled as cured. Children's growth will have different stages and different characteristics, and we should realize this calmly and objectively. We can't demand every child with the growth laws of most children, even some elite children. If so, educators are actually obliterating the uniqueness of children's lives. Many people in China abandoned Confucius' educational experience of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, and even went astray, calling themselves "tiger parents" and "strict teachers". I don't know how much harm they have caused to some lives.

Children need realm and wisdom more than knowledge. Educators should constantly improve and upgrade themselves in order to realize the continuous growth of their own lives, thus giving children more realm and wisdom to improve themselves. We must understand that growing fast does not necessarily mean growing tall! Now is not equal to the future!

Third, experience the elegance of nature, children's. All the goodness in life exists in all kinds of relationships.

It is mentioned in the book that some children's academic performance is always unsatisfactory. In fact, if you want to improve your grades, just mechanically staring at your children and studying hard will not have obvious effects, or only have short-term effects. The silent teacher's point of view is to try to change all kinds of relationships in children's lives. Among them, six relationships have the most direct and strong influence on children's performance. These six relationships are—

-the relationship with parents, teachers, studies, peers and friends, the state, society and nature. When these relationships improve, few children fail to make progress in their studies. Many parents and teachers of children with unsatisfactory academic performance only pay attention to the relationship between children and their studies and do not fully understand what is the best relationship. Practice has proved that while improving these six relationships, educators will also have various subtle influences on children's education.

Fourth, the brilliance of life-only lazy children who don't want to fly, no slow children who can never fly.

Silent teacher mentioned eight words when talking about the basic idea of his winter camp-building dreams and promoting genes. I think this is also the basic educational concept to help children better glow their lives: meet, smell, experience and do it, get close to nature, learn to improve the relationship with everything in the universe, actively deal with all kinds of problems and difficulties encountered in life, and make life glow. Only when you have a correct view of life can you have a correct attitude towards life and get a life that you don't complain but are still actively and optimistically pursuing. This kind of life is a full and happy life, which brings positive power to yourself, others and even society. This should also be the pursuit that is most in line with the original intention of education and become the most real purpose of education.

Not long ago, I read the news that Jiangnan Evening News reported that a sophomore boy with excellent grades jumped from the 19 building in a key high school in Wuxi. The life of a teenager passed away in a hurry, which made people sad. As educators, do we feel a great responsibility to strengthen life education for children? In my opinion, a really good education is definitely not simply instilling knowledge, but stimulating people's love and wisdom for life, both for parents and a teacher. The above are some of my thoughts after reading, and I will share them with you. thank you
