The reform of "New College Entrance Examination" pays attention to fairness, students' interests and personality development. The reform of the form and content of the "New College Entrance Examination" abolished the division of arts and sciences, and students were free to choose subjects. According to the "new college entrance examination" programs in various places, the results of the college entrance examination are composed of three unified examination subjects: Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages, and three elective subjects. Elective subjects are selected from politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology (and technology).
