Reflections on the movie Candlelight
Today, I saw a movie "Candlelight" reflecting rural education on the movie channel. This film is a film about rural education. "Candlelight" reflects the story of a rural teacher in China who has devoted herself silently for many years. At the same time, it also explains the differences in educational concepts and methods between the East and the West. Photographers hope to promote social welfare through this film and call on all sectors of society to pay attention to and support rural basic education in underdeveloped areas. Nowadays, TV movies are full of shoddy romances and costume dramas, but there are fewer and fewer attractive things to watch. In fact, touching things don't need to be gorgeous and beautiful, and the truest side of life may be more exciting. The pace of life is getting faster and faster, and many people may only care about the trend, perhaps just the entertainment circle. I remember Zhang Yimou's film No Child Left Behind. It happened that I saw it at the cinema. Although I think the old man's film is over-hyped, I was still very touched after watching the film on that theme. The unpretentious countryside, a group of mountain children eager for education, dilapidated classrooms, and the innocent and romantic smiles and loud reading sounds of those children remind me a lot. I really appreciate those mountain teachers who have contributed to education and those who have done charity for education. In the movie "Candlelight", this excellent teacher has devoted himself in obscurity for more than 30 years in his school with only 10 students, many of whom paid their own tuition. Although his educational methods are not necessarily worth advocating, the heart of this excellent teacher is in his group of children. In fact, I don't know how many excellent teachers there are in China, thanks to these obscure and conscientious gardeners. Nowadays, the cost of going to school is getting higher and higher, not to mention the expensive tuition at university. Even in the primary and secondary schools below, many children can't even afford the tuition of several hundred yuan a year. For many families, there is no source of income at all, and some really can't even eat. Children are worried about tuition fees when they go to primary school. Many children drop out of school prematurely and go out to work. It's really sad In my spare time, maybe I can pay more attention to this aspect. I really hope that one day, all the children can go to school. I don't know how many years have passed since the slogan "No matter how poor you are, you can't be poor in schools and students", but what is the situation now?
