Legal basis: Article 15 of the Education Law of the People's Republic of China. The education administrative department of the State Council is in charge of the national education work, making overall plans and coordinating the management of the national education.
The education administrative departments of local people's governments at or above the county level shall be in charge of education within their respective administrative areas.
Other relevant departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for relevant education work within their respective functions and duties.
