Why are there so many famous educators in Europe and America?
The most fundamental reason is that the education system is different. Whether in ancient or modern China, education is exam-oriented education. Stereotyped writing in Qing Dynasty is a typical example of ancient China, and modern examples must be familiar to people in China. China's modern education system is only a few decades, which is the closest to the West. Different educational systems lead to students' learning methods and habits under different systems. This is also the reason why Harvard University resolutely refused to accept the top candidates in the college entrance examination in all provinces when it came to China to enroll students. Harvard University Admissions Officer said: "There are many top candidates in China every year (one in each province, a total of more than 30), but no one has won the Nobel Prize, so we don't accept top candidates." This shows that the current exam-oriented education in China is a failure. However, it is also a last resort to implement exam-oriented education in China. Because of demographic factors, we have to use this method to select "talents". Most of these "talents" are just learning talents, and this educational system often ignores real talents.
