Yidu Foreign Language School, approved by Hubei Provincial Department of Education, is a fully-funded middle school with the characteristics of strengthening foreign language teaching. The school is located in the "Three Gorges Gate City" at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Qingjiang River, and Lucheng Sub-district Office of Yidu City, the gateway of western Hubei. There is the Liu Jiao Railway, an artery hub that runs through the north and south, facing the Three Gorges International Airport across the river. There are not only the Yangtze River shipping transit station-Zhicheng Deepwater Port Wharf, but also the Zhicheng Yangtze River Bridge and Yichang Bridge flying north and south.

This school is a famous Chutian school with a history of 50 years. Its predecessor was Yidu Normal School. With the care and support of governments at all levels and education administrative departments, the school has not only successfully achieved all the work objectives of transformation and restructuring, but also seized the great opportunity of restructuring, innovated in running schools, accelerated the construction and development of school hardware and software, and gradually established a "standardized, scientific, capable and efficient" management and operation mechanism to meet the needs of general education reform, namely, "quality-based schools, scientific research-based schools and environmental-based schools"

The school has 6 grades, 50 classes and 3 140 students. At present, there are more than 200 employees in vocational education, including full-time teachers 185. There are 164 full-time teachers with bachelor degree or above, accounting for 89.0%, 33 senior middle school teachers, 1 13 first-class middle school teachers, 42 academic leaders and backbone teachers in Yichang and Yidu, including 6 graduate students. At the same time, the school also hired five foreign teachers to teach in the school all the year round.
