Guangdong Experimental Middle School, referred to as "Shi Sheng", is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is a provincial key middle school directly under the Education Department of Guangdong Province and the first batch of national demonstration high schools in Guangdong Province. As of 20 13, the high school campus covers an area of 188 mu, with a construction area of 78,000 square meters. The current principal is Quan. The school adheres to the motto of "patriotism, unity, truth-seeking and innovation".
Guangdong experimental middle school has a junior high school campus and a senior high school campus. Set up two campuses, Baiyun New Town and Dongping District. By the end of 2022, there were about 330 teachers, including 5 in-service special-grade teachers, 7 senior middle school teachers and 224 senior middle school teachers. By the end of 2022, there were 22 masters1person, 0/2 doctors1person, and teachers with postgraduate education or above accounted for 45% of the total number of full-time teachers.
At present, the junior high school campus of Guangdong Experimental Middle School was originally Guangdong Gongyuan in Ming and Qing Dynasties. 1909, the Qing government established the affiliated school of Guangdong and Guangxi excellent normal schools in Gongyuan Zhigongtang, and later renamed it the affiliated middle school and primary school of Guangdong Higher Normal School. 1924 was upgraded to the National Guangdong University, which was designated as the first year of its establishment, and the attached middle school was renamed accordingly. Later, after many mergers, reorganizations and renaming, the school was renamed as Middle School Affiliated to South China Normal University, Middle School Affiliated to Zhongnan (Guangdong) Institute of Science and Technology, Guangdong Experimental School, Guangzhou No.60 Middle School and so on. 1987 was named Guangdong Experimental Middle School. In August 2004, the high school campus was completed. Since its establishment, Guangdong Experimental Middle School has successively trained seven academicians from China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering, including Deng and Jiang Boju from China Academy of Sciences, Cenkefa and Zhong Nanshan from China Academy of Engineering.
