On the understanding of the unity of knowledge and action in loving the world ps: motto of Hefei Normal University
"Love the whole world" is one of the most important educational thoughts of Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a great people educator in China. Tao Xingzhi's educational thought has influenced several generations, and learning from Shi Tao has become the consensus of teachers and students. "Love the whole world" is the educational essence pursued by Mr. Tao Xingzhi all his life; "Love every student" is Tao Xingzhi's life motto; "For children, being a camel is good for people, and cattle and horses are also good."

Love education is the basic principle and method of children's education. Mr. Tao Xingzhi's Love All over the World promotes the education of love. Teachers' love for students plays an important role in education. Tao Xingzhi said: Children need proper nutrition both physically and psychologically. Only with proper nutrition can we have a high degree of creativity, so education should be full of love.

Tao Xingzhi, an educator, is a model of contemporary educators in China. He loves his country, people and education. Because of this deep "love", he has his persistent pursuit of "teaching thousands of religions and teaching people to seek truth". He devoted his whole life to all kinds of innovative movements of people's education, and with the dedication of "holding a heart without a blade of grass", he erected a monument of people's education in old China, casting the soul of a generation of teachers that the people wanted, and became a "generation giant" in the history of modern education in China. His educational thoughts are ahead of the times, and his educational achievements are outstanding and brilliant, and his educational influence is transnational.

Therefore, no matter in the past or in the future, he is an example for teachers and educators to learn.

The unity of knowledge and action means that the object conforms to the subject, knowledge refers to scientific knowledge, and action refers to human practice. The unity of knowing and doing is neither swallowing action with knowledge nor swallowing knowledge with action, and thinking that action is knowledge. It was put forward by Wang Shouren, a thinker in Ming Dynasty. Knowing the truth of things is inseparable from its application in reality. It refers to the propositions about epistemology and practice in China's ancient philosophy, mainly about moral cultivation and practice. Ancient philosophers in China believed that we should not only know ("know"), but also practice ("do"). Only by unifying "knowledge" and "action" can it be called "goodness".
