Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydropower is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, and is sponsored by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It is the only application-oriented undergraduate university with the characteristics of water conservancy and hydropower in Zhejiang Province, and it is also the only university jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province.
Founded in 1953 by Hangzhou Hydropower School of the Ministry of Fuel Industry of the Central People's Government, the school is the first batch of industrial colleges established after the founding of New China. 1958, upgraded to Zhejiang electric power institute; 65438-0960, participated in the establishment of Zhejiang Water Conservancy and Electric Power School and Hangzhou Institute of Technology respectively; 1962, the school was cancelled and merged into Zhejiang University.
1975, school reconstruction, 1978 renamed; 1984, Zhejiang institute of water resources and hydropower was established; 20 13 was upgraded and renamed as Zhejiang Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower; In 2020, it will be listed as an integral part of the training base for strong supervision talents of the Ministry of Water Resources.
Conditions for running a school:
By September 2022, there will be 1 1 secondary colleges, 2 teaching departments and 2 research institutions, with 37 undergraduate majors in five disciplines, including 3 1 undergraduate majors.
By September, 2022, the school has more than 750 teaching and administrative staff and more than 550 full-time teachers, including 42% teachers with senior titles and 90% teachers with master's degree or above.
It has high-level talents such as shared academicians, national outstanding scholars, foreign experts, provincial first-level academic leaders, provincial young and middle-aged academic leaders, provincial propaganda and cultural system "five batches", provincial "15 1 talents", and provincial leading talents training targets, and has 20 national model teachers, recipients of special allowances from the State Council, Zhejiang model workers, provincial teaching masters and provincial outstanding teachers.
