Yanling County belongs to Xuchang City, Henan Province, and now governs 12 towns: Anling Town, Malan Town, Bailiang Town, Chenhuadian Town, Wangtian Town, Zhang Qiao Town, South Zhen Wu, taocheng town, Zhile Town, Dama Town, Pengdian Town and Mafang Town, and there are 386 administrative villages (communities).

Yanling County is located in the central and eastern part of Henan Province, with east longitude11402' ~1419' and north latitude of 33 46' ~ 3414'. It is adjacent to Fugou County in Zhoukou City in the east, Xihua County in Zhoukou City in the south, Weishi County in Kaifeng City in the north, Linying County in Luohe City in the southwest, and changge city and Jian 'an District in this city in the northwest and west. It is 57.5 kilometers long from north to south and 20.87 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 87 1.6 square kilometers.

Yanling County is located in the hinterland of North China Plain, which belongs to the alluvial plain formed by the flood of the Yellow River and the alluvial of Shuanghe River.
