Huizhou Population Vocational College is a public institution of higher learning approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. It belongs to population and family planning commission, Anhui Province, and is guided by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education. It is the first higher vocational college of population in China.

The predecessor of the college is Wuhu Hospital Nursing School, which was founded in 1926. 1936 changed its name to Huairang Senior Nurse Vocational School of Wuhu Hospital, 1969 moved to Chizhou and changed its name to Chizhou Health School.

1987, renamed Anhui Family Planning School, under the Anhui Family Planning Commission. On March 20 12, Anhui Population Vocational College was established with the approval of Anhui Provincial People's Government, and the Ministry of Education agreed to put it on record.

Since its founding 87 years ago, it has trained more than 20,000 graduates, trained thousands of backbone forces of population and family planning health front, and made positive contributions to the cause of population and family planning and people's health in Anhui Province.

The college is located in Chizhou Education Park, Anhui Province, with beautiful scenery. The first phase covers an area of 300 mu, with a total construction area of 68,000 square meters, including 46,600 square meters for teaching administration.

There are 12 multimedia classrooms, 60 ordinary classrooms, 73 laboratories, 3 standard computer rooms, 2 modern language labs, and 150-seat/electronic reading room, which can accommodate 2 1 6 students. The school has training bases for basic disciplines and clinical disciplines, and at the same time, there are 60 practice bases inside and outside the province, which provide good practice training places for students.

There is an indoor gymnasium with a building area of 3,998 square meters and a standard gymnasium with a 400-meter plastic track.

The library has a collection room, a lending room, a reading room and an electronic reading room. There are more than 1.2 million paper books and more than 4 1.0 million e-books. A comprehensive library management system has been installed, and the retrieval, borrowing and circulation of books are all managed by computers, providing a good learning environment for teachers and students.
