Hengyang Normal University is a full-time public institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education 1999. Its school-running history can be traced back to Hunan Guanli South Road Teachers College founded by 1904. In 20 18, the school was successfully approved by the Ministry of Education as a new master's degree awarding unit and was selected as a "double-first-class" high-level applied characteristic college in Hunan Province. Over the past century, the school has trained a large number of outstanding talents for the country. Hui, Zhang, Jiang Hua, Sheng Ronghua and Fan Fenfen are outstanding representatives of our alumni.
The school campus environment is beautiful. It is a "garden-style unit" and "civilized university" in Hunan Province. The total area of the east and west campuses is 2 166 mu. There are more than 200 faculty members 1200, including Gao Zheng 125 (second-level professors 15), 2 doctoral teachers15, and 806 teachers with master's degree or above. There are 20 secondary colleges, 53 undergraduate majors, 1 master's degree authorization points and 2 master's degree authorization points, with more than 22,000 full-time students. We have enrolled a number of international students and established good cooperative relations with more than 20 universities in the United States, Britain, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan Province Province and other countries and regions.
The school has eight provincial-level "double-first-class" applied disciplines, and more than 20 national and provincial-level disciplines and scientific research platforms, including the National Local Joint Engineering Laboratory, UNESCO International Natural and Cultural Heritage Space Technology Sub-center, Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center, Provincial Key Laboratory and Academician Workstation. There are 14 national and provincial characteristic majors and key construction majors, more than 40 national and provincial teaching practice platforms, such as the Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT production-teaching integration innovation base, the Ministry of Education-Phoenix TV Phoenix Education University digital media production-teaching integration innovation application demonstration base, and the off-campus practice education base of the Ministry of Education.
In recent years, students have won more than 950 national and provincial awards in various competitions. The one-time employment rate of fresh graduates has remained above 90%, and the quality of running schools has been well received by all sectors of society.
The school is the chairman of the National Association of Teachers' Education in Local Colleges and Universities, and has successively won the honorary titles of National Advanced Unit for College Students' Social Practice, National Demonstration School for Environmental Education, Hunan Civilized University, Top-notch Project Supervision Demonstration School for College Students' Employment and Entrepreneurship in Hunan Province, Hunan Demonstration School for College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation, Hunan Advanced Unit for College Students' Enrollment and Hunan Advanced Unit for Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities.
