Nanhu Lake is not only famous for its beautiful scenery, but also attracted worldwide attention because of the successful closing of the first national congress in China, and became an important revolutionary memorial site in the modern history of China. On the red boat in South Lake, the delegates attending the first congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) adopted the first constitution of China, which declared the birth of China, and the China Revolution turned a new page.
Nanhu Lake is praised by scholars of all ages for its simple and mellow water town style in the south of the Yangtze River. Su Dongpo, Yang Wanli in Song Dynasty, Fang Hui in Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Dai in Ming Dynasty, Qian, Wu and Chen Qinian in Qing Dynasty all praised and chanted for it.
Yanyulou is the main building on the central island of Nanhu Lake, and now it has become the general name of the whole garden on the island. Although the misty rain building by the lake has changed its owners several times, it has always been a good place to watch the lake light.
