Refers to the educational activities to train medical and health personnel purposefully, planned and organized according to social needs. Generally, it refers to the medical education at the university level.
Medical education has a long history. Human beings have established medicine in the process of fighting diseases. In order to pass on the long-term accumulated medical experience to the next generation, medical education came into being.
Domestic history
Medical education in China began in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and has a history of 1500 years. /kloc-After the 9th century, western medicine was introduced to China, and foreign churches set up hospitals in various places one after another, then recruited apprentices and founded medical schools, and western new medical education was introduced to China. 1866, the American church established Ji Bo Medical College in Guangzhou, 188 1 year, the Qing government opened a medical museum in Tianjin, and then in 1903, it added a medical museum in Shi Jing University Hall. Since then, many medical colleges and universities have been established all over the country.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the educational structure of elementary, secondary, higher, postgraduate and continuing education was basically established, and a complete multi-level medical education system was formed (see table for a list of medical education forms and levels in China). While developing modern medical education, it laid the foundation of Chinese medicine education and developed medical education in frontier and minority areas.
