Shanxi plans to ban the sale of mingbi. On August 23rd, in order to promote the reform of funeral and burial, and promote the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and ecological civilization, Shanxi Province issued a draft for public comment, and the prohibition of the sale of Mingbi was one of them.
According to article 23, it is forbidden to sell Mingbi? Funeral market management? According to relevant regulations, it is forbidden to produce and sell feudal superstitious funeral supplies such as paper men, paper horses, paper houses and coins. It is forbidden to sell coffins and other funeral supplies to cremation areas, except for the sale of funeral supplies to ethnic minority residents with funeral customs in this province. Article 32 points out that low-carbon and safe sacrificial sweeping methods are advocated, and collective sacrifice, flower offering and online mourning are advocated.
Many places have issued relevant regulations prohibiting the sale of Ming coins in civilized funerals. According to the arrangement, it is found that there are already such regulations in Cixian County of Hebei Province, Chicheng County of Hebei Province, Xia Yutian County of Henan Province, yutian county, Wulanchabu City of Inner Mongolia, Huairen City of Hebei Province, Qinhuangdao Harbor District, zunhua city and other places. Moreover, in many places, in addition to prohibiting the sale of Mingbi, there will be some penalties. For example, yutian county will conduct dissuasion education on the burning of paper money, and those who do not obey dissuasion education will be handed over to public security organs for handling according to relevant laws and regulations. Harbin will detain the relevant sacrificial supplies in the store and seal up the store.
The controversy sparked a heated discussion, mainly in two aspects. On the one hand, burning Mingbi violates the concept of protecting the ecological environment, which has great security risks and is easy to cause fires. On the other hand, the burning of Mingbi is closely related to the traditional culture of China, which expresses the memory of ancestors.
