As of May 20 17, the school has 12 departments in 8 campuses (excluding online schools), covering an area of about 800,000 square meters and a building area of about 420,000 square meters. The number of students has exceeded 15000, and the number of teachers has exceeded 1000.

The school was founded in 1949, and was named the first Yucai primary school in Northeast China at that time, in 198 1. It became a school directly under Shenyang Education Bureau and was listed as a key middle school in Liaoning Province.

Idea of running a school

The school insists on excellent talents first, then excellent morality. For more than ten years, we have persisted in implementing the modern moral education system project of Northeast Yucai School, taking students' ideology and morality as a systematic project, so that the moral education objectives, tasks, contents and requirements are truly implemented, and school moral education has become a rigid educational entity, forming a three-dimensional network, overall optimization and remarkable results.

In 2000, the school began to explore a new model of independent experiential moral education, integrating intellectual moral education, formative moral education and emotional moral education, so that students can learn to live and be human in the "independent experience" and become talents with high-grade temperament, noble personality, sense of responsibility, enterprising spirit, international vision and career achievements.

The school insists on promoting quality education in an all-round way and pays attention to the all-round development of students. Active exploration and reform have been carried out in research-based learning, bilingual teaching, hierarchical teaching, integration of information technology and subject teaching, credit system in senior high school, excellent student tutorial system and examination evaluation.

In addition, we have established cutting-edge scientific research laboratories in middle schools all over the country, so that students can establish lofty scientific ideals and cultivate scientific quality from an early age. The cultivation of scientific quality has a subtle influence on students, and many students have participated in cutting-edge scientific research and determined their own development direction.

At the same time, the school also pays attention to cultivating students' humanistic quality, and cooperates with Illinois Institute of Mathematics and Physics to establish a Sino-US cooperative research laboratory. Students pay close attention to world development through international exchanges and cooperation. The school's teaching reform has given students more space to choose independently, and 62 elective courses have given full play to students' personalities and specialties.

Because of the improvement of students' comprehensive quality, they have emerged in various fields: some students get full marks in TOEFL; Some students discovered the generalized butterfly theorem, which was widely concerned by academic circles after it was published. The students in the science lab worked on the project with their tutors, and two papers were published in the national academic journals.

The "new type stirring ball mill" designed by some students has been praised by experts and won national patents.
