What are the famous medical works in ancient China?
1, Huangdi Neijing

Huangdi Neijing is divided into Lingshu and Suwen, which is the earliest medical classic in China and one of the four classic works of traditional medicine (the other three are Difficult Classic, Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Shennong Herbal Classic).

Huangdi Neijing is a comprehensive medical work, which establishes the theories of Yin and Yang, five elements, pulse condition, Tibetan image, meridians, etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, health preservation and luck.

Discussing medicine in a holistic view presents a "holistic medical model" of nature, biology, psychology and society (according to the research of modern scholars, it is considered that the traces of Huang family in this edition are invaded by Taoist priests in Sui and Tang Dynasties). Its basic material comes from the long-term observation of life phenomena in ancient China, a lot of clinical practice and simple anatomical knowledge.

2. It is difficult to pass

Difficult classics, formerly known as Huangdi's eighty-one difficult classics, also known as eighty-one difficult classics, is an earlier classic work of traditional Chinese medicine. There have always been different opinions about the author and writing time. It is generally believed that the book was written not later than the Eastern Han Dynasty, and its contents may be related to Qin Yueren (Bian Que).

3. Shennong Herbal Classic

Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, also known as Classic of Materia Medica or Classic of Materia Medica, is one of the four classic works of Chinese medicine. As the earliest extant TCM works, it originated from Shennong and was handed down from generation to generation. It was compiled into a book in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The book was not written in a moment, and the author is different. Many medical scientists in Qin and Han dynasties collected, summarized and compiled monographs on pharmaceutical experience at that time.

It is the first book in China that systematically summarizes TCM. Most theories and compatibility laws of TCM and the principle of "seven emotions in harmony" have played a great role in the practice of medication for thousands of years and are the source of the development of TCM theory.

4. Theory of typhoid miscellaneous diseases

Treatise on Febrile Diseases is one of China's traditional medical works written by Zhang Zhongjing, and it has always been one of the main basic courses offered by Chinese medicine colleges. During the SARS in 2003, this book and Zhang Zhongjing once again became the focus of attention.

Treatise on Febrile Diseases systematically analyzes the etiology, symptoms, development stages and treatment methods of typhoid fever, creatively establishes the principle of treating typhoid fever according to the classification of six meridians, and lays the theoretical foundation of principle, method, prescription and medicine.

5. Pulse meridian

The works on pulse science written by Wang Shuhe in the Western Jin Dynasty in the 3rd century, 10. Collect the great achievements of pulse science before the Han Dynasty, select Neijing, Difficult Classic, Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Synopsis of the Golden Chamber and the pulse theory of Bian Que and Hua Tuo, explain pulse theory and pulse method, and discriminate pulse condition and its main symptoms in detail in combination with clinical practice.

Pulse Classic is the earliest extant monograph on pulse science in China. Twenty-four kinds of pulse conditions were systematically summarized for the first time, and their characteristics were described in detail. The location diagnosis of three pulse conditions was preliminarily affirmed, which laid the foundation for the development of pulse science in later generations and guided clinical practice. At the same time, the Pulse Classic also preserves a large number of ancient Chinese medicine documents.
