East China Normal University Vocational Education and Adult Education College
The college has three master's and doctor's degree awarding points: vocational and technical education, adult education and human resources development and education, all of which are the first in China. Mainly engaged in basic and cutting-edge theoretical research in these fields, training high-level professionals. At present, there are 2 14 graduate students, including 28 doctoral students, 23 master students, 53 teachers in vocational and technical schools, and 0 teachers in colleges and universities, as well as a number of visiting scholars, visiting doctors and postdoctoral fellows. There are also three research centers for vocational education, adult education and community education, a school-level human resources development research center and two national training bases, which serve the training of principals and backbone teachers of secondary vocational schools, presidents and management backbones of continuing education colleges of ordinary universities, and human resources workers of enterprises and institutions, and provide advice for government decision-making, school reform and human resources development activities of enterprises and institutions with solid research results. In addition, the college also has a number of off-campus research bases, which provide important practice places for scientific research and postgraduate training.

In recent decades, the Institute has undertaken nearly 100 national and provincial research projects and published about 80 academic works. These research results not only made great contributions to the theoretical innovation and the solution of practical problems in various related fields, but also led the development of these three disciplines throughout the country. The College has also actively expanded academic exchanges with its counterparts at home and abroad, successfully held academic activities such as "International Seminar on Adult Education Innovation and Creating a Learning Society" and "Youth Forum on Vocational Education", and established close cooperative relations with relevant institutions in the United States, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Japan, South Korea and other countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, creating good conditions for young teachers to study abroad and internationalize postgraduate education.
