In the process of growing up, childlike innocence is a very important factor. That is to say, before I was defiled by the secular, I began to become a monk, and Buddhist thought unconsciously became an important part of my life. On the other hand, childlike innocence gives me more time and opportunities to receive Buddhist education, which has a great influence on my growth and personality formation. Innocence has both advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantage is that some people are too young to become monks, lack understanding of society, often lack immunity, and most of them have a weak cultural foundation, which is not conducive to in-depth study of Buddhism in the future. But this is also an advantage, mainly in two aspects: first, young people can have more time to study Buddhism; First, it is conducive to the cultivation of Sangha, and a blank sheet of paper is more easily influenced by Buddhism.
Temple life is quiet and comfortable, not as lonely as everyone thinks. Of course, if there is still secular demand, it is difficult to enjoy this luxury. Like many people who come to the temple, although they also like this cool environment, they would rather return to the world of mortals after a few days. Because they still need to do something in society to prove themselves and get everything they yearn for. Although I am more emotional about becoming a monk, with the deepening of my study, I have strengthened this choice. Especially after I got to know more about society because of spreading the Dharma, I became more and more aware of the absurdity of secular life. In contrast, I think the pursuit of truth, wisdom and liberation is the most meaningful life.
