Taking Tao as the goal, relying on morality, relying on benevolence and swimming in art is Confucius' way of education.
? Different people have different views on how to educate children. Some people think that moral education should be put first, some people think that intellectual education should be put first, and some people think that aesthetic education should be put first. All these ideas sound reasonable, but they don't seem to be clear. It was not until I read the Analects of Confucius and got to know Confucius' point of view that I thought Confucius explained this question most clearly and reasonably.

Confucius believes that the order of educating children is: first, ambition education, second, moral education, third, kindness education, and finally, knowledge and technology education. Think about it, it's true. If you don't have lofty aspirations and only pay attention to petty profits and your own happiness, it will be difficult to use your knowledge and technology to be a moral, kind and selfless person who serves others. Unfortunately, most of our parents and teachers today are not aware of this. They often put knowledge and skills in the fourth place, or take it as the only standard. As long as the grades are good, one is good. Every year after the college entrance examination, all localities are keen to find, publicize and reward the top candidates. It seems that as long as you win the championship and get good grades, your future will be bright. In fact, some studies show that the results of the top students in the college entrance examination are not so good after graduation, even worse than their classmates, which is worthy of our reflection.

We often envy the high-quality education in the United States or the West and think that their educational concepts are more advanced than ours. But as early as more than 2,000 years ago, Confucius put forward such advanced educational thoughts as "taking Tao as the aim, taking morality as the foundation, taking benevolence as the foundation and taking art as the line", which is even more advanced than the educational thoughts of the United States and other western countries, and deserves our good inheritance, development and implementation!
